Finders Keepers Melbourne

The Finders Keepers Melbourne: 5 Must See Stalls

Finders Keepers Melbourne

The Finders Keepers is on this weekend in Melbourne and I am itching to be there! Over 270 independent Australian designers and makers, including Ettie Ink, along with live music, food and beverages all within the beautiful old setting of the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton.

Here are 5 stalls I can’t wait to visit!

DANA KINTER ART

Dana Kinter

For as long as I have been going to design markets Dana Kinter has been a favourite. I was always excited to see Dana’s artwork and now here I am showcasing my artwork at markets alongside her! Recently Dana had the amazing privilege of collaborating with Australian fashion label Gorman (oh.em.gee!). As exciting and cool as this was, I will always have a soft spot for Dana’s little woodblocks depicting Australian flora and fauna.

OSHKA BLACK

I met Jae, owner and designer of gorgeous Sydney based jewellery label Oshka Black, at Finders Keepers two years ago in Adelaide. Her jewellery is inspired by Bondi’s beaches and lifestyle, and has been described as ‘landscapes you can wear’. I loved her jewellery so much, I didn’t just come away with one or two pieces… I came away with nine! One was a striking ring that always get compliments when I wear it. I can’t wait to see what pieces Jae brings to Melbourne and I’m itching to add another of her rings to my collection!

LIL GAS

Lil Gas

Lil Gas was at Bowerbird in Adelaide recently and I missed out on grabbing myself one of their beautiful blush ice buckets. Their stall was just down from mine and I’d been eyeing off their pieces all weekend – but by the time I went to get one they’d pretty much sold out! I love that the gas bottles are repurposed and I think they’d be a great talking point at my next dinner party! Lil Gas bowls can be used as ice buckets, planters, fruit bowls… basically, anything you’d use a big bowl for! Pretty cool huh? Pun intended.

MUSINGS FROM THE MOON

Musings from the moon

How gorgeous is this feel good business! The sweet hand-painted ‘affirmation pebbles’ caught my eye in Melbourne last year and I instantly fell in love! Owner and self taught artist Jenna creates cute illustrations, hand-painted pebbles, cards and poems featuring inspirational musings and stories of magical wonder that encourage self love. What’s not to love about Musings From The Moon!

COOKIE DOH CO.

No explanation needed. I will definitely be getting myself a tub of edible cookie doh at some stage over the weekend! It’s ready to eat – no baking required! Because let’s face it, we only bake to lick the bowl right?

Check out the full Melbourne line up here. Who are you looking forward to visiting?
